Believing (Elements of Dreams) #AtoZChallenge

Dreams put us in the state of mind of believing the unbelievable.  We accept illogical situations and act in inexplicable ways almost always believing that everything makes total sense.   We adapt to whatever the dream hands us no matter how random.

In some cases part of our mind might question what is happening in the dream yet we can usually come up with some kind of an explanation or resign ourselves to going along with the dream program.  The peculiar goings-on of a dream episode might puzzle us and we might even be resistant to what is happening, but we believe that in the end this is the way the world is.   And indeed in the dream world perhaps the illogical is exactly how it is supposed to be.

Do you usually accept absurdity within your dreams?   Is it your mind playing tricks on itself or is there a sort of upside down logic that might be symbolic by nature?   Why do you think we believe the unbelievable in our dreams?

  1. I don't remember my dreams every day, but when I do, they are always fascinating, confusing, and enlightening all at once.

  3. My dreams definitely tend toward the absurd. I think that's what dreams are for though.

  4. Quite a thought-provoking piece. I usually go along with whatever happens in my dream and sometimes believe it makes total sense even when I'm awake. #AtoZChallenge

  5. Belief is such an significant part of our being. And Dreams, they are completely inexplicable.
But the trail of symbolism they leave is usually unbelievable.
I quite liked the banner of your blog. =)

  8. Your putting into words the program of dreams makes the unbelievable facets of our dream world believable, and food for thought. The first thing I think when remembering my dreams is "That is so unbelievable"! I like your thought that "the illogical of our dream world is exactly as it is suppose to be."
