Nightmare

Have you ever woken up screaming?   I'm not particularly prone to nightmares--at least not the wake up screaming variety.  My version of nightmares are typically more akin to watching a horror film--scary, but somewhat interesting entertainment.  There are dreams that may waken me into what is a very uneasy state, but those are not the terror type dreams that leave me shaking and afraid.    My version of nightmares leave me more worried or paranoid than terrified.

Are you prone to having frightening nightmares?    What scares you in a dream?    Have you ever been tormented by frequent recurring nightmares?

A Song of Summer

Sometimes an analogy is made between a lifetime and the passing of the seasons of a year.  This song would have come from the summer of my life if I were to use that analogy.  Fortunately a lifetime consists of many cycles of the seasons.   Our dreams interpret our days, months, years, and eventually our lifetime.  I wonder if in our final seconds of life we have a dream that reveals all.

Do you ever think of the cycle of your own life in terms of seasons?    What are your songs of summer?    Do you believe that when you cross over into death that you will see your life pass before your eyes?

Hot Summer Day

Dreamy hot summer day music might be just the ticket for today's mind excursion.   When I first discovered It's A Beautiful Day in the early 70's, it was like a musical dream come true.   Melodic well arranged music featuring an electric violin.   This is a favorite group of mine from that era.   Great stuff.  Happy hot summer day dreaming!

Are you a fan of It's A Beautiful Day?     Do you like hearing violin featured in rock music?     What's the weather like where you are today?

Reverie

A reverie is a state of dreamy meditation.  Impressionistic composer Claude Debussy was the master of dreamy meditative music.   Here is a short piece--an orchestrated version of a piece originally written for piano.  If you're looking for good music for contemplation and relaxation, Debussy's music might be just what you are looking for.

Are you familiar with the music of Claude Debussy?   Do you like the music and visual art from the impressionistic period?    What is your favorite relaxation music?

Circle Sky Moon Mix

There's a fire tower sitting up on Rich Mountain above Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.   You have to hike to get there.  It's been many years since I've been to that place.   I used to have dreams about fire towers.   In the early 70's a very fine country rock music group called Rich Mountain Tower put out a few albums.  Sadly they remained fairly obscure.

Have you ever visited a fire tower?   Are you afraid of heights?   Do you have dreams about being in high places or falling?
