"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one," said John Lennon in his song Imagine. I don't agree with all of the sentiments of that beautiful song, but I think Lennon meant well with it. John was an idealist and a dreamer. It comes through in his music.

I love this song, sad that John's life was cut short, When I was in New York last year we were shown where John was shot.....sent shivers downmy spine.

You quoted and wrote about the song 'Imagine', so I just assumed that was the video-song you'd posted.
It wasn't until after submitting that comment above that I realized the song you'd posted was NOT 'Imagine' but '#9 Dream'.
I have ALWAYS really liked '#9 Dream' (and Lenin's song 'Instant Karma', too!)
So there . . . I said something "nice" after all.

StMc -- Lennon wasn't all that bad. Misguided perhaps but I think his intentions were good. An amazing day when you say something nice! But come to think of it you've said lot's of nice things.

John Lennon was a dreamer who acted on his dreams to help create a bit more love in the world. Writers know dreams are the impetus of ideas that lead to stories.

Yeah, he was. A first-rate a*****e. (And that's without even addressing his misguided communistic political views.)
He was nasty to both Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan, only because he didn't agree with their art/views.
John Lenin should have practiced all the "love, peace and understanding" he liked to spew from his lips. As it was, I think he was probably the biggest hypocrite in Rock music history.
And I still haven't even addressed his communistic political views . . .

Stawberry Fields in Central Park is quite a moving place. John Lennon was a dreamer and he was taken too soon. The world would have benefited from more of his music and talent.
