Still Sleeping, Still Dreaming

As some of you may know, I've been rather ill over the past few weeks.  I'm getting better, but still feeling a bit weak and tired.   That means a lot more sleep.  Some days I've slept most of the day.

This week I've been sleeping less, but still taking a couple naps each day.  All this sleep means a lot of dreams.  I wish I could remember them all, but I haven't been writing any of them down.  Some I've dwelt on for a while, but still I forget them.

I don't mind the dreams, but I'm not thrilled about the excess sleep.  I'm looking forward to getting back to tip top shape so I can get back to doing things I need to do.

How's your health been so far this year?   Have you been hit by the flu or a cold?

  1. Fighting the illness demon - seems to go around this time of the year. No flu, no cold, just a dislocated jaw and medication that jumbles the brain. I had an interesting dream last night - a bet risqué if you will. I was with a friend who was trying out for a movie and they wanted her to go topless, but she didn't make the cut and they asked me. In the dream, I made all these financial demands before I said yes. Gee, what does that mean?

  2. Hope you feel better soon, Lee.

I had the flu shot, so haven't been ill. We have a chronically ill daughter so we have to get the shots, and we also need them to visit MIL in care home.

Take care of yourself, take time to heal properly.

  3. Russell came home sick a couple weeks ago and then I got it from him. We're both much better now!

  4. I don't know how we survived the flu before flu shots emerged. As a teacher, I got one every year except 1993. So sick. The day after Christmas I sat on the floor of the clinic, waiting my turn to see Dr.; room was full, no chairs left.

  5. Yolanda-- I think the dream has a good connotation referring to your own self-worth. I see a big publishing contract in your future.

DG-- I had the flu shot as well. I've gotten those shots for the past several years and still I seem to get sick every January. I'm suspicious.

JoJo -- I hope my wife doesn't catch it. She needs to stay healthy for work.

Susan-- I think I was healthier before I started getting flu shots. Of course I was younger too so maybe that made a difference.
